Chelsea Football Club (Chelsea F.C., commonly referred to as ""Chelsea""), founded on March 10, 1905, and nicknamed ""the Blues,"" is based at Stamford Bridge Stadium in the Hammersmith & Fulham district of London, adjacent to the River Thames. It currently competes in the English Premier League.
Team History
After Roman Abramovich acquired Chelsea, he invested heavily in signing players, and the club gradually established itself as a top-tier powerhouse. The team is renowned for its rock-solid defense and fighting spirit, as well as its notoriously defensive ""park the bus"" tactic, making it a representative of the counter-attacking style in football. In 2022, the Russia-Ukraine war forced Abramovich to sell the club, and a consortium led by Todd Boehly and others took over Chelsea.
In English competitions, Chelsea has won 6 English top-flight league titles (1 in the First Division, 5 in the Premier League), 8 FA Cup titles, 5 League Cup titles, and 4 Community Shield titles. On the continental stage, Chelsea has claimed 1 FIFA Club World Cup title, 1 FIFA Intercontinental Cup title, 2 European Cup Winners' Cup titles, 2 UEFA Super Cup titles, 2 UEFA Champions League titles, 2 UEFA Europa League titles, and 1 UEFA Europa Conference League title.

In May 2025, Chelsea defeated Betis 4-1 to win a European club competition trophy for the first time in four years, completing a full set of European honors (European treble grand slam). On July 13 local time, Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain to win the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup title.
