English football legend Alan Shearer admitted in an interview that Liverpool have dropped out of the Premier League title race this season, and also talked about Mohamed Salah’s sluggish form this term.
“I think they might need to win every remaining game this season to have a chance of winning the title, which I think is impossible—so their title challenge is over. Liverpool have shoehorned Florian Wirtz into the left flank, and their defense is riddled with vulnerabilities and problems.”
“Salah’s performance is far from his level last season and a world away from his usual form. I don’t know if he feels he’s no longer the top star because the club spent heavily on signing Wirtz and Alexander Isak. Something must be wrong—whether it’s a decline due to age or being upset about something—but what we’re seeing is definitely not the Salah we’re familiar with. In fact, most Liverpool players are in the same boat.”
