Bakambu recently stated in an interview with camel.live reporters that he will fully follow the club's arrangements: if the team decides to keep him, he will stay without hesitation; if the club has other plans, he will not cause any trouble.
Bakambu revealed that there is indeed a release clause in his contract, which allows the club to let him leave as a free agent during the summer transfer window. However, Betis ultimately decided to continue cooperation with him. Bakambu emphasized: “If the club decides to keep me, I will stay. But if the club decides otherwise, it’s okay. The club will not have any trouble with me. I want to score more goals for Betis this season. I feel good, but there’s always room for improvement. They call me the 'Prince of Montijo'. Last season was a good one for both the team and myself, and I hope to continue to maintain this momentum.”
Looking ahead to the new season, Bakambu hopes the team can achieve greater breakthroughs: “I believe we can do better than last year, and everyone will soon see Betis at its best. I see my teammates full of fighting spirit in training, and that’s exactly what we need.”
When talking about the relocation of the home stadium to the Seville Olympic Stadium, Bakambu said bluntly: "This is something crazy. Playing in a big stadium with a full-house atmosphere is always good. Although I personally prefer the Benito Villamarín, now that we have a new home, we must win there." He also praised Anthony’s return: “He is a very energetic and capable player. He trained a lot during the offseason and deserves a club like Betis. I believe he can bring us a lot of help this season.”
