Real Madrid’s 2025 Club General Assembly was officially held today.

[Transfer Rumor Board] Real Madrid 2025 Members' Assembly: Total Revenue €1.185 Billion; Florentino Pays Tribute to Ancelotti, Modrić, Etc.Florentino Pérez criticized harshly the failed match between Barcelona and Villarreal held in Miami.

"It is abnormal for the LaLiga president to promote a match outside Spain. Even their captain Frenkie de Jong thought it was abnormal.

It is also abnormal that LaLiga supported these two teams—Barcelona and Villarreal—to play in Miami and provided them with additional economic incentives. Yet we have to listen to Mr. Tebas compare this match to an NFL game. NFL games are impeccable and fully legitimate.

This comparison is absurd because NFL games have the support of all participating clubs. This is not the case with the Miami match. Not even UEFA supported it. This is just another attempt by the LaLiga president to impose his will."

Florentino also lashed out at the level of Spanish referees:
"The level of Spanish referees is also unacceptable. It is a shame that FIFA did not select a single Spanish referee for the recent Club World Cup.

Of course, it is also abnormal that Barcelona has paid a total of over €8 million to the vice-chairman of the Referee Technical Committee of Spain for at least 17 years. For whatever reason, this vice-chairman holds a key position. Coincidentally, this period coincides with Barcelona’s best performance domestically."
He criticized LaLiga and the media again:

“It is also abnormal that LaLiga allocates funds to media outlets. Some media outlets were founded specifically to harm Real Madrid, such as Relevo. More worrying is their lack of transparency. Their president refuses to provide us with relevant information.”

"LaLiga continues to lose millions of euros due to the failure of the Legend Museum, which was originally intended to justify media investments.

In the final analysis, it is abnormal that football is controlled by people who only want to defend their own privileges. I will elaborate later, but I first want to explain why Real Madrid should take the lead in fighting back."

He talked about Real Madrid’s attitude:

"Real Madrid is probably the only club in Europe with sufficient strength to meet this challenge. The number of Real Madrid fans around the world is larger than the population of EU countries. We are the club with the most honors and the strongest financial resources.

Our advantage lies in the fact that we are a big family, united under common values centered on Real Madrid’s history.

We are fearless. We abide by all rules. Registration failures do not put pressure on us. Unfortunately, this is not the case for most clubs. Many clubs are financially strained. We all know that, especially in LaLiga, life is much easier for them if they obey the president’s decisions."
