It is reported that as Manchester United have begun preparations for the 25-26 season, the club's official annual commemorative album is also about to be released. Manchester United manager Amorim and the club's director of football Wilcox also talked about the new season's plans in the album's illustrations.
Amorim's speech:
"For each of us, whether players, staff or fans, the start of a new season is always filled with great excitement and anticipation, and this is a time for us to look to the future. We should not completely ignore or forget everything we went through together last season, because whether it is success or failure, good moments or bad moments, or those positive moments that made us aware of our potential, there are many lessons and experiences from which we can learn more. With the arrival of the new season, we will focus all our energy on ensuring that the team can unleash its due potential more frequently and stably."
"Last season, we went through too many disappointments and pains, but in any case, the club was in the process of changing its working methods at that time. However, everything I have learned in the past eight months, and the players' understanding of my expectations, have put us in a much better position than when I joined this summer. One important thing I have learned is that this football club is incredible, and its fans are particularly special. I feel a great responsibility to help Manchester United return to where it should be. As I said after the last game at Old Trafford, I have always believed that better days lie ahead. I cannot guarantee that we will achieve all our long-term goals this season, but I can guarantee that I will do my best to lead us firmly in the right direction."
Wilcox's speech:
"Every day when I drive through the gates of Carrington, I feel honored to work for Manchester United, and at the same time, I feel a sense of responsibility to help this great club return to the top. Most importantly, I am excited about the opportunities ahead. Seeing the club receive so much support even in difficult times, I can hardly imagine what it would be like if we could achieve sustained success again, and that is our goal."
"We all know that the men's first team's performance last season was far below expectations, and we also understand the reasons, after all, we went through the difficult process of changing the head coach, adjusting the tactical style and other aspects of the club. Now, with Amorim and the new football leadership team firmly in place, we are more confident in moving in the right direction. As always, in this club, our youth academy plays a vital role in laying a solid foundation for future success. I am extremely excited about the many talented players emerging in our team, and these talented players have been supplemented by some excellent young players we have brought in from other places over the past year."
"The women's team also has many reasons for optimism. They finished third in the WSL and reached the FA Cup final for the third consecutive time. Mark Skinner and the players have reason to be proud of the progress they have made over the past year. This young and growing team has great potential for continuous improvement. Across all teams, we have a clear vision of success and a firm determination to achieve it. Thank you to all fans for your unwavering support as we embark on this journey."
