Barcelona have confirmed that Inigo Martínez will not take part in the club’s training sessions.
The player’s negotiations with Al-Nassr have been completed, and he will travel to Saudi Arabia in the next few hours.
Inigo’s transfer will free up between $12 million and $14 million in wage space for Barcelona.
The 34-year-old Inigo Martinez, who plays as a center-back, currently has a market value of €5 million on Transfermarkt. A product of Real Sociedad’s youth academy, Inigo joined Athletic Bilbao in 2018 before moving to Barcelona as a free agent in the summer of 2023. During his two seasons with Barcelona, he made 71 appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing 6 assists, while winning 1 La Liga title, 1 Copa del Rey, and 1 Spanish Super Cup.
