On Garnacho’s Situation
It is understood that Manchester United have valued the 21-year-old Argentine international at £50 million, while Chelsea’s valuation stands at just £25 million—nearly half of United’s asking price.
Manchester United argues that their valuation is reasonable, pointing out that Garnacho’s youth and status as an Argentina international, coupled with the fact that transfer fees for similar players—such as Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and
Chelsea’s own Noni Madueke—have been in the £50 million range, provide a reference for their asking price.
However, Chelsea insists on a lower valuation. Their reasoning lies in Garnacho’s lack of future development opportunities at United, his need to leave the club, and his strong desire to move to Stamford Bridge—factors that have weakened his bargaining position.
This summer window, Chelsea have offloaded around 15 players, with another 9 potentially set to leave. While continuing to streamline their squad, the club also plans to sign new arrivals. Garnacho and RB Leipzig attacker Harvey Simmons are currently key targets for Chelsea’s attacking reinforcements.
On Nkunku’s Situation
RB Leipzig are in talks with Chelsea to sign Christopher Nkunku. The Blues rejected a loan offer from Bayern Munich on Sunday. The 27-year-old is set to leave Chelsea, with four years remaining on his contract. Chelsea valued the French international at £43 million this summer, and both Chelsea and the Frenchman are only seeking a permanent deal.
On Vega’s Situation
Villarreal are negotiating to sign Chelsea defender Vega. The Portuguese centre-back is among eight players likely to leave Chelsea before the deadline.
Chelsea value him at €40 million (£34.6 million). The club signed him from Basel for £12 million last summer, and he has six years remaining on his contract. He was loaned to Juventus in January of this year.
