In addition to Alexander Isak, Liverpool is also in talks over Guehi’s transfer tonight. It is reported that Liverpool has secured Isak for 150 million euros, and the player will undergo a medical examination today (local time). According to reports, all parties have reached a comprehensive agreement on Isak’s transfer; furthermore, Liverpool had previously reached a verbal agreement with Isak, and the two sides will sign a long-term contract. The transfer fee for Isak will be between 145 million euros and 150 million euros, with the medical scheduled for today (local time).
Liverpool had previously hoped to finalize this deal as soon as possible. The Reds initially intended to pay £30 million for Guehi, but it is expected that a transfer fee close to £40 million will be agreed upon on Monday. Unlike Isak’s transfer, however, Guehi’s move has not yet been finalized. Nevertheless, both Isak and Guehi are close to joining Liverpool.
Beyond this, for another centre-back in Liverpool’s squad, Joe Gomez, Serie A giant AC Milan is confident of reaching an agreement with Liverpool to sign the English international. However, this deal is contingent on Liverpool first completing the signing of Guehi – which, in turn, is subject to Crystal Palace’s approval.
In the last few hours, though, Milan’s confidence in signing Gomez has grown, and the Italian club is looking to get the deal done. If Liverpool succeeds in signing Guehi from Crystal Palace, it is likely to agree to let Gomez leave.
