Italian sports host Eleonora Incardona has recently broken her silence, responding to the controversy over her being criticized as "vulgar" for her clothing.
The 34-year-old host of DAZN's Italian channel covered events during the Club World Cup held in the United States, sparking controversy with a series of sexy outfits. Author Valentina Maccheri criticized her by name in her new book: “Incardona mainly reports on odds, and her way is very sexy, sometimes even vulgar.”
In response, Eleonora gave her first direct response in an interview with Camel Live: “Style is part of one's personal and professional identity. Fashion is my language; it helps me express myself and boost my confidence, especially in male-dominated or high-pressure environments. I never give up my feminine charm; instead, I regard it as strength. Only when you are satisfied with yourself can you have the ability to face everything.”
German stylist and fashion commentator Sonja Grau also joined the criticism, deeming Incardona's recent outfit – a black crop-top dress worn by the pitch – "unprofessional," adding: “This outfit is suitable for private leisure occasions, such as the beach or by the lake. But she is in a commercial environment; such attire has nothing to do with professionalism, let alone 'style.'”
Eleanora holds a law degree and was once a model. She has sparked heated discussions multiple times over her clothing at DAZN.
