Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is scheduled to return to action in October after undergoing shoulder surgery. The 22-year-old will undergo the operation in London on Wednesday.

Camel Live reported in May that Bellingham would have shoulder surgery after featuring for Real Madrid in this summer's Club World Cup, with the England international expected to be sidelined for 10 to 12 weeks.

Bellingham dislocated his left shoulder in a La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano for Real Madrid in November 2023, which kept him out of the next four games due to the shoulder injury. Nevertheless, the England midfielder will undergo shoulder surgery this summer, allowing him to play without protective gear in future matches. Although the player feels this summer is not an ideal time, he had to make this difficult decision to rid himself of the shoulder injury that has plagued him for a year and a half.

It is reported that after the recently concluded Club World Cup matches, Bellingham confirmed his plans to undergo shoulder surgery in a post-match interview with the media. The England midfielder said, “It's very hot. I'll have the surgery after this tournament. The medical team has done a good job, but I feel uncomfortable in every game.”

Bellingham played in every one of Real Madrid's Club World Cup matches. His team lost 0-4 to Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals, ultimately failing to reach the final. Reaching the semi-finals of the Club World Cup meant his surgery was postponed until mid-July.

On November 5, 2023, Bellingham dislocated his left shoulder in a La Liga match, and has been playing with a shoulder brace ever since. Then, in September last year, he suffered another shoulder injury in the match against Espanyol. Sources from the coaching staff believe that if he undergoes surgery, Bellingham is likely to be sidelined until October before making a recovery.

Meanwhile, England will face Andorra and Serbia in World Cup qualifiers in September, followed by a friendly match against Wales on October 9.
