According to the latest report from camel.live, FC Barcelona (Barça) has received the completion certificate for the first phase of the Camp Nou renovation project. The club now awaits approval from the municipal government, with the earliest possible return to Camp Nou being the home match against Getafe this Sunday—though a more likely scenario is the fixture against Real Sociedad next week.
Reports state that this Monday, Barça finally obtained the Completion Certificate for the First Phase (CFO) of the Camp Nou renovation. Following this phase, the stadium’s capacity will reach 27,000 spectators, with the main stand and the first two tiers of the south goal area stands being fully available for fans.
Next, the completion certificate will be submitted to the Barcelona City Council, which is responsible for issuing the initial occupancy permit to the club. While Barça has not ruled out the possibility of securing this permit in time for Sunday’s match against Getafe, the club acknowledges it will be challenging to achieve. Instead, it is more probable that the approval process will be finalized in time for the September 28 match against Real Sociedad.
