Having missed out on Swiss winger Dan Ndoye, Napoli have set their transfer sights on the Premier League—targeting Raheem Sterling and Jack Grealish—with club executives holding a meeting on Ischia Island to accelerate summer signings for the new season.
Napoli had previously pushed hard for Ndoye, offering a €40 million package (including a €9 million loan fee, €26 million mandatory purchase clause, and €5 million easily achievable bonuses) and refusing to raise the bid. It’s understood that Napoli would have upped the offer to €45 million if Ndoye hadn’t been tempted by Nottingham Forest’s proposal. In the end, Ndoye opted for Nottingham Forest, with his former club Bologna securing the transfer fee plus 20% of any future sale of the player.
Now, Napoli have quickly shifted focus to Sterling and Grealish. The manager, club president, and sporting director have met on Ischia Island to discuss further transfer strategies, aiming to strengthen the squad for the upcoming season.
