Regarding rumors with Manchester City
It is reported that Manchester City indeed does not want to lose Savinho, but if the winger eventually transfers to Tottenham Hotspur, City may need to find a replacement. This would require Savinho to take the initiative to request a departure and Tottenham to make an offer that City deems reasonable. If such a scenario occurs, Real Madrid’s Rodrygo would be one of the replacements under consideration by Manchester City. Given Real Madrid’s asking price of approximately €80 million for Rodrygo, the deal will not be easy to reach, but Manchester City has not ruled out the possibility for now.
Regarding rumors with Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham is aware that they must be proactive in the final 10 days of the transfer window, having previously missed out on players like Gibbs-White and Eze. They feel they did their utmost to reach agreements in both deals, but Eze’s choice to join Arsenal has further fueled fans' dissatisfaction with the club’s hierarchy.
They currently have no interest in Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers. Other options include Monaco’s Akliouche and Southampton’s Dibling (the latter is close to signing with Everton), but Tottenham fans are eager for the arrival of a big-name player. While Savinho is not flawless, his potential and transfer fee may meet this need. Tottenham plans to be more aggressive in terms of wage spending, but it seems unlikely to persuade Rodrygo to join.
Regarding Arsenal
Arsenal did have an interest in Rodrygo, but after spending over £260 million on other positions this summer, they cannot afford the deal. The club currently has no budget left.
